I am a multi-media artist, from Korea, and studied at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago for my BFA and MFA. Painting, drawing, and digital
animation were my main areas of focus during the undergraduate program while virtual enviroments and new media were my extended subjects of interest for my master's degree. The main theme of my work is inspired by observing human beings in daily life and diversified circumstances. The ironic relationship among the nature, high technology, and solitary society breeds new cultures and new standards of life. My poignant feelings of our modern days are the most inspiring subject matters for my creativity. From those inquiries, I spread my imagination and visual narratives in both traditional and digital platforms within the meanings of media. |
